304L Stainless Steel Seamless Pipes & Tubes

The 304LL Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe is produced without the requirements of fillets or welding. These pipes are extremely strong and a little expensive due to the materials used in their manufacturing. SS 304LL Seamless Pipe can be used in very corrosive environments. They are available in different schedules and wall thicknesses to suit the different requirements of our clients. Manufactured by joining pieces of steel together, the SS UNS S304L03 Welded Pipe is highly versatile. The low carbon in this 304LL alloy eliminates post-weld carbon precipitation. Weld annealing may be required for high-stress applications. The 304LL SS Schedule 40 Pipe is a high-pressure pipe. As the pressure and temperatures increase, the working allowance of these pipes decreases. These pipes can work at temperatures of up to 525 degrees C. The Stainless Steel 304LL Pipe/ Tube can be customized as per your requirements in different shapes and sizes.

The ASTM A312 TP 304LL Round Pipe is widely used across the world as it is highly cost-effective. These round pipes have excellent corrosion resistance properties due to the presence of chromium in their composition. The SA 312 TP 304LL ERW Pipe is designed with a fusion weld. These welds enable the pipe to be very durable and easy to maintain. Most pipes are hot or cold-rolled. The SS Grade 1.4306 Polished Pipe is very smooth and appealing due to its excellent finish. As a result, these pipes offer more protection and resistance against various elements. DIN 1.4306 Tubing is very successful across the world in dealing with intergranular corrosion and pitting due to various chlorides and sulfides. Applications of Grade 304L Stainless Steel

The steel is common throughout industry particularly in food processing as the material is not susceptible to corrosion from acids found in common foodstuffs. As a consequence, such steel is ideal for items such as sinks, work surfaces, preparation areas and refrigerators. It is also a perfect material for use in the pharmaceutical industry for environments such as clean rooms.

Grade 304L can also be found in heat exchangers, chemical containers, pipelines and throughout the brewing industry. It can be used as a fabricated material where high temperature petroleum gases or steam production gases are stored such as pressure vessels. It can even be found extensively in the construction industry where the material is used for cosmetic purposes such as building fascias.

304L & 304LL plate and pipes have similar properties and in certain cases are stocked with Dual Certification, where it is concluded that each item has properties and a composition which comply with both steel types. Grade 304LH cannot be included in this equation due to the steel's higher carbon content which is intended for use in elevated temperature applications.

304L Stainless Steel Pipes and Tubes Corrosion Resistance

Excellent in a wide range of atmospheric environments and many corrosive media. Subject to pitting and crevice corrosion in warm chloride environments, and to stress corrosion cracking above about 600C. Considered resistant to potable water with up to about 200mg/L chlorides at ambient temperatures, reducing to about 150mg/L at 600C.

304L Stainless Steel Pipes and Tubes Heat Resistance

Good oxidation resistance in intermittent service to 8700C and in continuous service to 9250C. Continuous use of 304L in the 425-8600C range is not recommended if subsequent aqueous corrosion resistance is important. Grade 304LL is more resistant to carbide precipitation and can be heated into the above temperature range.

Grade 304LH has higher strength at elevated temperatures so is often used for structural and pressure-containing applications at temperatures above about 5000C and up to about 8000C. 304LH will become sensitised in the temperature range of 425-8600C; this is not a problem for high temperature applications, but will result in reduced aqueous corrosion resistance.

304L Stainless Steel Pipes and Tubes Heat Treatment

Solution Treatment (Annealing) - Heat to 1010-11200C and cool rapidly. These grades cannot be hardened by thermaltreatment.
